Our Story

Denmark House started off as a family run dairy farm in the early 1950s. This was then changed to a livery yard when the house was built in 1976 by Arthur Barnicott.

During the war Arthur was stationed in Denmark and so on deployment he settled in Kent on the north downs and build Denmark House.

The house has slowly been adapted over time, starting with the conversion of the garage into the control room in 2008. This was primarily used just as a mix room for Barny, but after few years after this, an extension was built to the back, which was to be the live room and adjacent booth, linking the studio to the house.

Since then, the rest of the house has been carefully renovated over the last few years, and we now offer the whole place exclusively for hire.

The property boasts 8 bedrooms, 6 double and 2 single, and a beautiful spacious open plan living area to make this a truly unique residential recording experience.
